Right now, the streets of Barcelona are empty of locals. Every respectable Spanish person takes the whole of August off to go to their summer house, visit relatives or just enjoy endless days on the beaches. And rightly so. The weather in Spain has been gorgeous, almost too hot.
But as we slowly move towards September and the end of the summer holidays, there will be an urgent need to stock up on delicious coffee and keep caffeinated, or not. But whatever your needs will be, we have a really exquisite selection of coffees coming your way and you better not miss out.

🇪🇺 European Roasters
Waco – A Coruña, Spain
We’re excited to bring you a brilliant new roasting partner from a very different part of Spain. Waco hails from A Coruña, a city in Galicia and it was founded by Graciela Tallón and Víctor Egoavil in 2020. They opened their first shop in September of the same year and have contributed a huge deal towards the development of specialty coffee in this far-flung region of the country.
We met the team at the London Coffee Festival in April 2026 and immediately hit it off. For Waco’s Coffeevine debut, they will roast a sweet and chocolatey Colombian coffee from Satus.
Expect notes of milk chocolate and almond.

Blossom – Manchester, United Kingdom
This fine roaster from the northern English city of Manchester is a long-time Coffeevine partner and always a welcome guest in our editions. During a visit to Manchester in June 2026, Coffeevine founder Alex Kitain swung by the Blossom roastery and hatched a plan with Blossom founder Josh Clark to find them a slot in one our upcoming editions. So, here goes!
For its latest feature, Blossom will roast for you a delicious and fruity Guatemalan lot from Las Peñas.

CIME – Nantes, France
We’re thrilled to bring you another brilliant and upcoming French roaster in September, CIME from Nantes. We have been in touch with them for a while and after running into its founder Gregory Sarafian during the Amsterdam Coffee Festival earlier this year, we got a chance to taste some of its signature coffees. It was a match!
To mark its Coffeevine debut in September, CIME will roast a bright and extravagant Colombian lot from El Vergel, a producer we have previously mostly featured in our decaf selection.
Expect notes of guava and red fruits.

🌍 Global Roasters
Metric – Chicago, United States
Metric was one of our very first Global Roasters in 2023 and has since been a highly regarded regular in our editions. Founded in a Chicago garage by Xavier Alexander and Darko Arandjelovic, Metric has become synonymous with the city’s underground skate and music scene. It’s pioneering practices in direct trade, sustainability and community engagement have allowed it to set the bar high for others to follow.
For its latest Coffeevine feature in September it will roast an expressive and vibrant Kenyan lot from Mugaya.
Expect notes of vanilla bean and black tea.

Look Alive! – St. Petersburg, United States
Our other Global Roaster for September is a rising star of the American coffee scene. Look Alive! is based in St. Petersburg, Florida and was founded by husband and wife team Kelly and Michael Packard. They come from very different backgrounds that include hospitality, design, tech, consulting and aviation. When they eventually decided to set up their own roastery and café, they let things take their organic and natural path and it’s been a raging success.
We came across Look Alive! while searching for interesting new partners and instantly fell in love with their approach and aesthetic. It’s a real pleasure to add them to our family of Global roasters and present to you their outstanding Burundian lot from Gakenke in September.
Expect notes of orange zest and caramel.

🌙 Decaf Feature
Decaf Nation – Poole, UK
There are only a handful of decaf specialist roasters in Europe and usually, we rotate three fixed partners throughout the year. This gives us the assurance that we’ll always have a stunning decaf lot available. Yet, for the September edition, we are going to present to you a new partner that we first came across during the London Coffee Festival in 2025.
Decaf Nation is based in Poole, Dorset and sources exceptional coffees that also include some more unusual origins like Yemen. For its first Coffeevine feature, we decided to pick a really sweet and comforting Ethiopian lot from Lala Salama.[
Expect notes of cherry jam and chocolate mousse.
