This is the first edition of a new twice yearly initiative that will see The Coffeevine pairing up with a different artist for a limited edition art collaboration entitled, The Coffeevine Art Series.
The Coffeevine has always been all about celebrating the arts. From the producers who grow our coffees and the roasters who put their finishing touches on them to the graphic designers who’ve graced our stickers and developed our branding. Not to mention all the talented content creators who take such stunning visuals of our boxes every month.
With this new initiative, we want to take things further by inviting artists from different background to create a custom piece or select one of their existing works to be made available as Coffeevine exclusive posters that our subscribers and customers can buy.
Each one of these works is highly limited to just 50 copies, numbered and signed by the artist.
Vol. 1: ‘Fuel Up’ by Pestka Shoots
Pestka Shoots is the monniker of Polish conceptual photographer Maciej Pestka who creates stunning photographs that are bold, colourful and often feature people and plants. I first came across his work for Polish coffee roaster Coffee LAB for whom he made an eye-catching label and after reaching out to him to inquire about his works, we instantly built a connection that eventually lead to this collaboration.
Fuel Up is a spectacular photo that is inspired by coffee but not necessarily coffee themed although Maciej leaves it up to interpretation. It features a naked model who can only be seen from behind with a small reflection of her mouth visible in the mirror she holds while coffee is being poured with speed out of a gasoline pump.
To me, this work represents much of what coffee means to many of us. A source of energy and taking a moment for yourself.
Limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist. Gicleé print on satin paper. Dimensions 50 x 70cm.
