It’s time for a brand-new Coffeevine drop — the July edition is here!
This month, I’m incredibly excited to share six outstanding coffees from all over the world. From Argentina to Malaysia, and from Amsterdam to Porto, these are some of the most exciting and forward-thinking roasters in the game right now.
Let’s dive into what’s brewing.
🇪🇺 European Roasters
Senzu – Porto, Portugal
I’ve had my eye on Senzu for a while. Founded in 2019 by three friends looking to shake up Porto’s coffee scene, Senzu has since become one of Portugal’s leading roasters.
In 2023, they won the Portuguese Roaster of the Year Award, and they’ve collaborated with Michelin-star restaurants, craft brewers, and bean-to-bar chocolate makers.
Now, they’re making their Coffeevine debut with a crisp, washed Kenyan lot from Chania Estate, a producer we’ve featured twice before.

Father Carpenter – Berlin, Germany
Kresten Thorgesen has been part of Berlin’s coffee scene since 2015, first opening the café Father Carpenter and later co-founding Fjord. Now back under his solo brand, Father Carpenter, he’s expanding again and just opened a second café.
After a popular Coffeevine feature in 2023, he returns with a delicate washed Ethiopian lot from Bombe — floral, elegant, and one of our all-time favourite origins.

Five Ways – Amsterdam, Netherlands
The always cheeky and loveable team behind Five Ways is back! I reached out to co-founder Ben O’Callahan about a July collab, and he didn’t hesitate.
Known for two busy cafés and growing wholesale presence in Amsterdam, Five Ways returns with a washed Ethiopian coffee from Shakiso. Think: citrus, cotton candy, and chamomile tea.

🌍 Global Roasters
Puerto Blest – Buenos Aires, Argentina
I’ve been wanting to explore more of South America’s roasting scene — and Argentina has long been at the top of my list.
Until recently, strict export controls made it difficult to work with Argentinean roasters. But those are now a thing of the past, and I’m thrilled to introduce Puerto Blest, our first-ever Argentinean roaster.
Finalists in the 2023 Sprudgie Awards, their July feature is a citrusy washed Sidra from El Trapiche, Colombia.
🟡 Filter roast only.
Tongue Mission – George Town, Malaysia
Located in George Town, on the beautiful Malaysian island of Penang, Tongue Mission was founded by Dennis Cheah in 2015. Dennis is a Brewers Cup competitor and a key figure in Malaysia’s specialty coffee scene.
For his Coffeevine debut, he’s roasting a sweet and layered natural Ethiopian lot from Hambela Wamena — full of flavour and complexity.

🌙 Decaf Feature
Coffee & Coconuts – IJmuiden, Netherlands
Many of you will know Coffee & Coconuts from its iconic café in Amsterdam’s De Pijp. But owner Jasper van het Nederend has since pivoted to roasting full-time, now working from a facility in IJmuiden about 30 minutes from Amsterdam.
During a recent visit, we got talking about a decaf collab — and now I’m pleased to announce that Coffee & Coconuts will debut with a sugarcane decaf from Santa Maria, Colombia.
Smooth, sweet, and perfect any time of day.
