Benvinguts a Barcelona!
Yes, I have arrived in my new home and have already spent two weeks here. So much has happened already that I almost feel like I should have been here longer already.
From looking for a place to live to getting my car registered and from catching up with friends to travelling back to Amsterdam, I’ve been a busy bee.
During my short trip back to my former home last week, I found the time to choose the absolutely delicious coffees for the upcoming Coffeevine edition for October. Check it out in our shop now.
But before we get to enjoy those beauties, it’s time to highlight the coffees from the September edition. To help you brew like a champ, here are custom recipes from our roasters.
I hope you’ll enjoy these as much as Kieran and I enjoyed picking them out for you.

🔧 Basic Brewing Setup – What You’ll Need
Before diving into the recipes, here’s what I recommend having on hand:
-
Precision scales (with or without timer)
-
Burr grinder (e.g. Comandante)
-
Your preferred brew method – V60, Origami, Kalita Wave, AeroPress, etc.
-
Freshly filtered or custom mineralized water (I use Lotus mineral drops – recipe coming soon!)
-
Clean decanter or vessel
-
Pouring kettle (or regular kettle + steady hand)
-
Agitator or spoon for stirring
🔄 Tip: Always grind your coffee fresh before brewing for maximum aroma.
❄️ Storage Tip: Vacuum-seal in portions, label, and freeze if needed.
If you’re pulling espresso at home, I use the Profitec Pro600 and ProT64 grinder for consistent results.
