How The Coffeevine started | a story of chance and curiosity

Like so many things in life, The Coffeevine was born out of a series of unexpected events.

While stuck in a very dull job, I discovered specialty coffee and it changed my life. I first launched The Coffeevine in 2013 as my personal blog where I shared reviews of coffee bars I discovered and in 2014, freshly liberated from employment, I started my business sending out monthly coffee boxes.

Since then, I’ve had the honour to represent countless hardworking farmers and talented roasters whose exceptional coffees I’ve shipped to thousands of happy customers in over 100 countries.

In 2024, The Coffeevine celebrates its 10 year anniversary and this is really just the beginning.

The Coffeevine subscription is stopped, the box redesigned and relaunched. This was the game changer that the company needed.

Freshdrip, an innovative single serve coffee dripper is launched as a subsidiary of The Coffeevine. Its innovative technology allows coffee lovers to make fresh and delicious filter coffee on the go.

The Coffeevine launches a highly successful ambassador program with a small group of handpicked coffee content creators around the world, helping to grow the business significantly.

2020

Alex Kitain and his partner Michal Brzozowski launch the hugely successful first-ever Virtual Coffee Festival one week after global lockdowns saw the cancellation of all major coffee events during the first weeks of the Covid 19 pandemic. They raised €2.000 for Doctors Without Borders.

The Coffeevine breaks all records with the biggest ever months in its history, shipping nearly half a metric ton of coffee in one month to customers in over 60 countries.
