Earlier we announced via newsletter that we were planning to introduce a 10% increase on our coffee boxes (excl. GEMS) and apply some changes to our shipping costs.
The reasons for these necessary changes are manyfold and should not come as a surprise. Since our last price update in December 2021, we’ve had to deal with a massive spike in the price of green coffee, rising transport and labour costs and the ongoing pressures of global inflation.
As a consequence, we’ve also had to increase the budget we allocate to our monthly coffees to ensure that we can continue to source the most delicious coffees from the world’s most exciting roasters.
Despite the huge impact that these financial pressures have had on our small business, we decided to absorb most of these costs for a long time to not burden our customers with additional price increases to their beloved coffee boxes, however, starting with the launch our April 2023 box order cycle, we implemented the new prices and updated all existing subscriptions to reflect the new costs.
If your subscription charges are different to the previous month, then this is a reflection of the updated pricing policy.
Please note that this month also saw the launch of our new UPS contract, which resulted in shipments to some countries becoming more expensive. We still offer our global mail tracked delivery option via Postnl, which is available to all countries. Anyone wishing to make a change to their shipping method, is welcome to contact us.
