Late last year my friend Josh Harris and I got the unique opportunity to visit Bocca Coffee Roasters in Dronten, The Netherlands. Since being founded about 10 years go by brothers Menno and Tewis Simons, Bocca has been at the forefront of sourcing and roasting some of the world’s best coffee.

Originally, it all started in a garage in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district but quickly grew to be a formidable business, which is now supplying numerous restaurants, bars and specialty coffee shops around the country. Coffee Bru for example, are one of their loyal customers.

I got in touch with them to find out if I could pop in for a visit and they were more than happy to show Josh and I around. It was truly brilliant to experience this complex process at close distance and chat to the various people involved in the business.

Unfortunately the noise was too much to include a voice over of the interview with COO Willem Hendrik van Oordt but I hope you’ll like the images that Josh captured.
