Right then, let’s explore the March roasters and their coffees
🇪🇺 European Roasters
Vote Coffee Roasters – Berlin, Germany
During a relatively recent visit to Berlin, we first encountered Vote Coffee Roasters at Isla Coffee. This fine coffee shop has been a favouite address of ours in Neukölln for years and one of its owners also happens to be the man behind Vote Coffee Roasters. Philipp Reichel, who previously also ran the Berlin Coffee Festival and its successor Coffee Week Berlin, started Vote Coffee Roasters in 2016. In 2022 he also launched Communal Coffee, a shared roasting space with around 15 different brands.
For its Coffeevine debut in March, Vote Coffee Roasters will roast a really delicious, bright and fruity Colombian lot from producer Ederleth Lozano. This is a washed coffee consisting of Castillo and Colombia cultivars. It offers notes of Jasmine, Orange, Blackcurrant and Apricot.

Obadiah – Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Before Brexit, we worked with lots of different British roasters all the time. Since then, things have slowed down somewhat for us with regards to cross-channel-trade but there are a few UK based roasters who we still love to collaborate with on a regular basis. Obadiah from Edinburgh is one such example. Founded by Sam Young, an Aussie transplant to Scotland, Obadiah has been a regularly recurring name in our selections since it was founded in 2017.
For its latest feature in March, Obadiah will roast for us a sparkling washed Burundian coffee from Shikankoni. This coffee hails from the Kayanza region of Burundi and stands out with its thick syrupy cup that is reminiscent of pomegranate molasses and dark chocolate.

Tribute Torrefacteurs – La Laupie, France
This relatively new French roaster is located in the countryside of southern France. While it may not have been around for long, it’s co-founder Paul Arnephy certainly has. In a previous life, he was the co-founder and co-owner of Café Lomi, one of the first specialty coffee roasters and cafés in Paris. Back when The Coffeevine first started in 2014, we visited Lomi and had a lovely cupping with Paul and his team. In the years since, Lomi got featured in The Coffeevine a few times too.
Since moving out of the capital and setting up shop in La Laupie, Paul has been focussed on his new roastery Tribute Torrefacteurs, which he runs together with Gonzague Jaret, his co-founder. Tribute prides itself on sourcing exceptional lots from trusted producers that are roasted to bring out the most delicious and delicate flavour notes.
For its Coffeevine debut, Tribute will present a truly exceptional natural processed Ethiopian lot from Shashemo Dukale. This coffee shined during our selection process with notes of strawberry, vanilla and a hint of quince.

🌍 Global Roasters
Manifiesto – Buenos Aires, Argentina
In recent years, Argentina’s capital has witnessed somewhat of a boom. While during previous years under Peronist governments, the country was constantly suffering from bouts of economic hardship, President Milei has worked hard to bring Argentina’s economy under control. This, according to some Argentinean friends in Barcelona, has also meant that BA’s been experiencing a wild rise in living costs. At the same time, specialty coffee has really taken off in Argentina.
Our second ever roaster from this South American country is Manifiesto, a fine roastery that runs various cafés in the capital. We have been in touch with the team for a while now but excessive red tape under the previous government prevented us from taking this relationship further. Now, Manifiesto is finally free to make its Coffeevine debut following last year’s partnership with Puerto Blest, a fellow roaster from Buenos Aires.
For its first Coffeevine feature, Manifiesto will roast for us an unprecedented Geisha from Colombia’s Rio Blanco. This coffee stood out on the cupping table with beautifully delicate notes of Jasmine, bergamot and caramel.

Anecdote Coffee Roasters – Mumbai, Indonesia
India has been emerging as one of the most exciting markets in specialty coffee and is also where we have a significant number of Coffeevine customers. As a result, we’ve also gotten in touch with many budding coffee professionals who are running Collectives, cafés and roasteries. After presenting Subko as our first Indian specialty coffee roaster last year, we’re now honoured to feature our second India based roastery, Anecdote.
Founded by Richa Khan, this female run specialty roaster from Mumbai is trying to present Indian specialty coffees as something delicious, special and most importantly, local. Many Indians have never tasted coffees from their own lands and Anecdote is on a mission to tell the stories of the farmers and people working to change the industry and a national mindset.
For its Coffeevine debut, Anecdote will roast a washed lot from Ginimao Estate that is a bit more spiced and warming than other lots we’ve had. Definitely an interesting coffee to savour.

🌙 Decaf Feature
Les Révélations – Paris, France
Our trusted decaf specialists from Les Révélations in Paris are back for their next decaf rotation in March. At the end of last year, we decided to work only with 3 decaf specialist roasters throughout the year and to bring you a delicious coffee from their seasonal offerings every month. Les Révélations is based in Paris and was founded by Piroska Hunyadi who made it her life’s mission to find, roast and share the most delicious decaf/low-caf coffees in the world.
For this feature, her pick is a washed Ethiopian from Yirgacheffe that was decaffeinated with the Swisswater method. This coffee is extremely sweet with notes of grapefruit, caramel and sugary almonds.
