It’s almost the end of the year. Can you believe it? Another 11 boxes with over 33 coffees from 33 different roasters have left our warehouse since the beginning of 2019, delighting hundreds of coffee lovers all over the world. It’s not been an easy year for us as a small business but we’ve done our best to continue growing and improving to create one of the world’s most unique coffee experiences.

Naturally, none of this would have been possible without the staunch support from our subscribers, our roasters and everyone else who came along for the ride, so here is a huge Coffeevine THANK YOU to all of you. 2019 has been a fantastic year and what better way to end it on than with another spectacular coffee box? Exactly.

For the final box of 2019, we’re teaming up with Koppi, Carrow and Root & Branch who will each roast for us a delicious coffee from their current lineups as well as a young design company from Glasgow called Dreich Design who makes beautiful handmade coffee bean pins that we will include in every box as a little gift.

In addition, we will share with our subscribers our very own pumpkin spice syrup recipe that will change your perception of this often ridiculed flavour. So without further ado, let’s introduce you to our December ’19 partners and make sure you start a subscription with us or order a one-off/gift box today!

Koppi from Sweden hardly needs an introduction but if you don’t know Anne and Charles, probably the loveliest couple in the world of coffee, then you need to meet them. These two have been together for over 22 years and have been an integral part of the Swedish specialty coffee scene since the beginning.

You’ll often see Anne travelling the world in search of the finest and most exquisite coffees she can find while Charles mostly takes care of adding his skilful touch in the roasting process back in Helsingborg. Their coffees can be found and enjoyed in some of the best cafés the whole world over and they have been great friends of the Vine since day one.

We adore them and we’re so happy to have them back in our box, interestingly enough with a coffee from the same farm that they provided us with for their last feature exactly one year ago. It’s a washed Costa Rican coffee from La Lia with notes of caramel, sweet fruits and chocolate.

Next, we have our friends from Root & Branch in Belfast coming back for a second feature, this time with their newly introduced and truly innovative coffee tins that remind you of craft beer, except filled with coffee. They first started when Belfast was still totally under the specialty coffee radar but quickly developed a name for themselves through passion, skill and a heartwarming personal touch.

Today, Root & Branch has its roastery in East Belfast inside a former linen mill where co-founder Simon Johnston can get to work to really get out all of the finest flavours from each coffee that he chooses to work with. For the December ’19 coffee box, Simon will roast for us a vibrant and flavour-packed Kenyan coffee from Kagumoini. (Please note, the tins only contain 170g instead of 250g but we think they are totally worth it).

Last but not least, we are excited to welcome a newcomer to The Coffeevine family in the form of Carrow Coffee from the Republic of Ireland. Co-founded by Andrew Willis and his partner Paola, Carrow is situated in one of the most beautiful natural settings and its roasting space won the Design Labs Spaces Award in 2019 for its beautiful design and use of natural materials.

Who wouldn’t want to roast fine coffees while looking out over the Atlantic Ocean and Ireland’s famous lush nature? Andrew originally worked as a journalist in Colombia where he discovered his passion for coffee and upon returning to Ireland, he and Paola set up Carrow Coffee as a way to share their love for our favourite drink with the world. From them, we will get a really juicy and layered washed Ethiopian coffee from Qore Warqee.

Plus, we’re teaming up with Dreich Design from Glasgow to give every one of our customers a beautiful handmade coffee bean pin. Put it on your shirt, your bag or anywhere else to show the world that you are a true coffee lover!
