The end of the year is always known for cold winter nights, starry skies, christmas get-togethers and the act of giving. It also signals the end of something and the start of something new.

After 18 months of carefully selecting, packing and shipping out our beloved coffee tasting box we have decided to halt our current service to come up with a bigger, better and more diverse subscription service in 2016.

Throughout the last year and half we were able to learn an incredible amount about coffee, what it takes to put these tasting boxes together and the different requests and preferences expressed by our customers and partners. We want you to know, we have listened carefully!

For obvious reasons it’s not always possible to make every wish happen but we want to constantly improve our service and the experience you get both as a customer and as a partner. That is why we have decided to move away from the current format that sees us, every month, receiving three gorgeous coffees at our HQ in Amsterdam and consequently repacking them into our own little bags before they’re lovingly placed into our beautiful tasting boxes and shipped off into the big wide world.

Although we cannot yet disclose any details about our future tasting box format, what we can say is this: It will be more diverse, more simplifed and ultimately, more suited to different people’s needs while also improving the quality of the coffee experience.

At this stage we’d like to extend a huge thank you to the many partners and customers without whom this wonderful ride would never have taken off in the first place. Your support so far has meant the world to us and will continue to do so in the new year.

IMPORTANT FAQ FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS:

I have an active subscription. What happens now?

While we transition from one model to another, we will suspend all active subscriptions in our system until the new subscriptions become available. This means that you will remain a customer, however you will not be billed until you choose to switch to our future plans and prices. The new plans will be made available to you in your dashboard and you will be able to choose to make the switch or not. Should you not want to wait you can also go ahead and cancel your subscription at no extra cost.

I bought a gift option but the full period has not been delivered. What now?

Any gift option plan that was purchased and cannot be completed with our current subscription format will be refunded. The last box that will be shipped in our current format is our ‘It’s a wrap’ December ’15 tasting box.

You will receive an email from us with next steps to ensure you get your funds back. We apologize if this means that your loved ones won’t be getting the full delivery but as with regular subscriptions this service will be halted.

Can I still buy coffee through The Coffeevine?

Yes! This is the good news. We recently launched our online shop that we want to grow to become the number one marketplace for freshly roasted coffee, equipment and other selected products that you will be able to purchase directly from different roasters and vendors. We’re still in the early stages of rolling it out but we hope to have many amazing roasters and vendors on here soon.
