The stellar selection for April is probably one of our best ever
Kieran and Alex from The Coffeevine hosted a wonderful cupping event at Abyss Coffee Roasters in Barcelona last week where they cupped and selected the coffees for the April edition. They were joined by more than 10 curious coffee lovers and industry professionals who were attending different Barcelona Coffee Week events.
After an in-depth deliberation, the team picked the coffees that were resoundingly picked as favourites by the attendees. And needless to say, the coffees are absolute standouts.
Discover a total of eight really exceptional coffees from seven fantastic global roasters, including two that are home to former World Barista Champions.
If you’re looking for the most complete coffee experience there is, then our Total Package will be your best choice. It’s a one-off box that includes all of our picks, including the decaf and GEMS releases.
Our most popular options are our European roasters or All roasters subscriptions but we also have a ton of other exciting selections in our shop. You can also buy all of our coffees individually and we offer competitive global shipping rates.
Right then, let’s explore the April roasters and their coffees.
🇪🇺 European Roasters
Mia – Liberec, Czechia
The Czech Republic is home to a really fantastic group of talented specialty coffee roasters, many of which have been featured in previous Coffeevine editions. In April, we’re teaming up with a new partner called Mia, who is based in the city of Liberec. Named after founder Michal Novak’s daughter Mia, this fine roastery has been in business since 2014.
After recently connecting with them and finding mutual admiration, we decided to take things further. Mia will be making its debut with two excellent coffees. One is a natural El Salvador from Los Angeles for filter and the other is a natural Ethiopia from Gedeb for espresso.

Siemasu – Tampere, Finland
Siemasu is a relatively new brand from the Finnish city of Tampere, which was co-founded by Tommi Turunen, Mikko Reinikainen and Elias Rantanten. Siemasu is the Finnish word for sip and many moons ago, Tommi was a Coffeevine ambassador at a time when he was just a coffee lover who made beautiful content.
Last year, he and his friends decided it was time to start their own coffee roastery and thus Siemasu was born. Now the trio is making its Coffeevine debut with a juicy and bright washed Kenyan lot from Nyeri Hill Farm.

Bakalar – Alicante, Spain
Named after a beautiful lake in Mexico but based in sunny Alicante, Bakalar is another relative newcomer that we’re thrilled to introduce to you in April. Co-founded by Ollie Sears who is also behind Swallow Specialty Coffee in Alicante, this roastery is a big advocate of regenerative agriculture and hopes to support efforts in origin countries aimed at protecting and regenerating land.
We met the team during the Madrid CoffeeFest and really connected over our shared values and similar stories. In this upcoming Coffeevine edition, Bakalar will make its debut with a sweet and delicious anaerobic washed Guatemalan lot from Vides La Libertad.

🌍 Global Roasters
Momos – Busan, South Korea
Momos was already a very successful roastery before one if its finest baristas, Jooyeon Jeon, won the World Barista Championship in 2019. Since then, Momos has taken off like a rocketship and during a visit to Busan in 2025, The Coffeevine’s Alex Kitain was blown away by Momos’ spectacular roastery and tasting room.
After being one of our very first Global roasters in 2023, we’re excited to bring Momos back for a fresh new feature, this time with a gorgeous yellow honey Villa Sarchi lot from Costa Rica.
🔴 Filter roast only.
Paradigma – Guatemala City, Guatemala
The second global roaster for this edition is the home of another former World Barista Champion, Raul Rodas. We first connected with Raul when Alex Kitain was in Guatemala in 2025 where he spent some time visiting different specialty coffee shops. Raul was immediately keen to work together but a busy schedule kept him from finding the time. We’re honoured to finally bring you Paradigma, probably the best roaster in Guatemala as part of our April 2026 edition.
For its debut, Paradigma will roast an elegant and really exceptional natural processed Geisha from Santa Felisa.
🔴 Filter roast only.
🌙 Decaf Feature
D Stands for Decaf – Vienna, Austria
This month, we’re teaming up again with one of our three rotating decaf specialists, D Stands for Decaf from Vienna. This fine roastery founded by Miriam Boubachta, sources and roasts the most delicious and exciting decaf or lowcaf coffees on the market. We have worked with Miriam many times before and look forward to sharing with you another one of her excellent picks.
This time it’ll be a sugarcane decaf from Ethiopian producer Mensur Abahika. This coffee will be your perfect companion for any time of the day.
🔴 Filter roast only.
💎 GEMS Feature
Sango – Amsterdam, Netherlands
Last but not least, we’re bringing you a spectacular washed Geisha from Peru that will be roasted by our friends from Sango in Amsterdam. Sango is home to Mitchell and Kaho, two serial competitors and innovators who converted a historic building in the centre of Amsterdam into one of the city’s best cafés.
Last year, they worked with Mikołaj Pociecha who won the Dutch Brewers Cup and the coffee that we’re going to present in this edition is a worthy representative of Peru’s finest specialty coffee.
