For the recently shipped July 2026 edition, we wanted to go big or go home. That’s why we picked a range of exquisite coffees from a variety of outstanding roasters alongside two surprising and outstanding types of brewing cocoa.

This selection offers a tasteful range of flavours, origins, processing methods and varieties. Anyone who is lucky enough to have gotten their hands on it will be in for a treat. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the recipes so you can make the most out of every bean, cocoa included!


☕ What’s in the July 2026 Coffeevine Box?

This month’s selection features some truly delicious coffees from:

  • Huracán
  • Pascal
  • Schot
  • Koko
  • Craft Coffee
  • D Stands For Decaf
  • Ander Cacao

If you’re looking to brew with intent, these recipes will guide your hand and elevate your daily ritual.


🔧 Basic Brewing Setup – What You’ll Need

Before diving into the recipes, here’s what we recommend having on hand:

  • Precision scales (with or without timer)

  • Burr grinder (e.g. Comandante)

  • Your preferred brew method – V60, Origami, Kalita Wave, AeroPress, etc.

  • Freshly filtered or custom mineralized water (We use Lotus mineral drops and Apax Lab mineral concentrate drops)

  • Clean decanter or vessel

  • Pouring kettle (or regular kettle + steady hand)

  • Agitator or spoon for stirring

🔄 Tip: Always grind your coffee fresh before brewing for maximum aroma.

❄️ Storage Tip: Vacuum-seal in portions, label, and freeze if needed.

If you’re pulling espresso at home, we use the Profitec Pro600 and ProT64 grinder for consistent results.


📋 Brew Recipes – Filter & Espresso

☕ Huracán

Filter (Kalita)

  • Coffee: 16g

  • Grind: Medium

  • Water: 240g @ 94°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Bloom your coffee for 35 seconds using 50g of water

    • 0:35 – Then, add 50 more grams in a slow circular pour.

    • 1:05 – Add another 70g of water in the same way.

    • 1:45 – Finish with a final pour of 70g. Let drain completely.

Espresso

  • Dose: 19,5g

  • Yield: 44g

  • Time: 28 seconds


☕ Pascal

Filter (Aeropress)

  • Coffee: 14g

  • Grind: Medium-fine
  • Water: 200g @ 96°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Add your coffee and your water. Agitate for 10 seconds and then let the coffee steep.

    • 1:00 – Agitate again, replace the cap with the flushed filter paper and then press the coffee out for 30 seconds.

    • 1:30 – Give it a good swirl and add a little bypass if you feel the need. Enjoy.

Espresso

  • Dose: 20g

  • Yield: 42g

  • Time: 28 seconds


☕ Schot

Filter (V60)

  • Coffee: 15g

  • Grind: Medium
  • Water: 250g @ 91°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Bloom with 50g of water for a 30 seconds.

    • 0:30 – Continue with 175g of water in a slow circular motion.

    • 1:15 – After the water has drawn down somewhat, continue with the remaining 75g of water. Wait until completely drained.

Espresso

  • Dose: 19g

  • Yield: 44g

  • Time: 22 – 23 seconds


☕ Koko

Filter (Orea V3)

  • Coffee: 15g

  • Grind: Medium
  • Water: 255g @ 95°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Add 55g of water to your brewer to start the bloom.

    • 0:30 – Then continue with two equal pours of 100g, 30 seconds apart.

☕ Rise

Filter (V60)

  • Coffee: 15g

  • Grind: Medium
  • Water: 225g @ 92°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Start with a 30 second bloom using 40g of water.

    • 0:30 – Then, add two pours of 60g each and finish with a final pour of 65g. Always leave around 15 – 20 seconds in between each pour. Always ensure the coffee is fully submerged and never dries.


☕ D Stands for Decaf:

Filter (V60)

  • Coffee: 20g

  • Grind: Medium-coarse (decaf coffees prefer a coarser grind)
  • Water: 320g @ 90°C (if brewing over ice, use 1/3 of the weight in ice cubes placed in the vessel.

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Bloom with 60g of water for about 30 seconds.

    • 0:30 – Then continue with two slow pours of 130g each or roughly 105g each if making this an iced filter. This coffee requires a bit of tweaking so feel free to experiment.


☕ Ander:

Filter (V60)

  • Coffee: 15g

  • Grind: Already ground to perfection
  • Water: 200g @ 85°C

  • Steps:

    • 0:00 – Very simple. Just add your hot water in one steady pour and enjoy!
